Rolling process and workpiece fit

Dong Il builds three kinds of rolling machine for this range. Choose by the part you roll:

  • 2-die rolling machines (DIR series) for general screws, small precise screws, worm screws, serrations, knurling and burnishing, up to a 130 mm outside diameter on the 60-ton model and larger on the 80- and 100-ton models.
  • 3-die rolling machines for hollow and elbow-type parts, and for long hollow parts on the 50-ton model.
  • Counter-flow (DCF series) rolling machines for splined parts and gear-type shafts.

Setup, tooling and integration

Dong Il offers its 2-die machines in automatic configurations: a 15-ton auto with 3-axis servo, gantry auto, lift-and-carry gantry auto and through-feed auto. The DCF series lists two-way rolling, an auto-loader and parallel simultaneous rolling as options.
